Bells and Bags Bootcamp is built around using kettlebells and sandbags.  These are probably not what you think of when you’re heading to the gym but they are among the most versatile tools we have available.  This versatility makes B and B appropriate for nearly all fitness levels: from beginners to experienced trainees.  The early focus is teaching the core fundamentals of kettlebell swings and sandbag lifting so that as your fitness level progresses you can continue to challenge your body without risking injury.  These fundamentals transfer to the resistance training you do on your own and help you to remain injury free in day-to-day life.

So, why swing a kettlebell?  Why “shoulder” a sandbag?  These moves demand that you control your body much like you would in real life, whether you’re working in the yard or wrestling the kids.  You absolutely have to simulate in the gym the bending and twisting and reaching that we all do everyday to remain strong and healthy.  As you progress in the class the metabolic demand becomes evident.  There is tremendous caloric requirement to even the most basic kettlebell circuit and simply holding the sandbag will leave you sweating.

If you would like to have fewer nagging injuries, increased fat burning potential, a stronger core and ideas to spice up your boring old workout routine… then you’ve come to the right place.
